February 18, 2026

Panagos Lemos, Senior Charter and Sales Broker at Capital Yachting, has been appointed Secretary General of the Ένωση Πλοιοκτητών Ελληνικών Σκαφών Τουρισμού (ΕΠΕΣΤ), one of Greece’s foremost professional associations in the nautical tourism sector.

The Ένωση Πλοιοκτητών Ελληνικών Σκαφών Τουρισμού, widely known by its acronym ΕΠΕΣΤ, is a non-profit professional association of Greek owners of more than 4,000 professional tourist vessels, both manned and bareboat yachts, governed under Greek maritime law. Founded in 1974, ΕΠΕΣΤ works to study and plan developments in professional marine tourism, promote the economic and ethical interests of its members, and foster cooperation and solidarity in the industry.

In his new role, Lemos will support the administrative leadership of ΕΠΕΣΤ by facilitating collaboration among members and stakeholders in the Greek yachting community, helping to shape dialogue between industry and regulatory bodies, and enhancing communication on issues critical to the operation and development of Greece’s professional yacht sector.

Throughout his career with Capital Yachting, Lemos has distinguished himself with deep market expertise in both charter and sales brokerage, assisting owners and charterers while building strong professional relationships across the Mediterranean yachting network. His appointment reflects the increasing integration of charter market perspectives into ΕΠΕΣΤ’s broader strategic mission.

Speaking on his new position, Lemos emphasized the importance of unity and professional representation for Greek yacht owners and operators, noting that ΕΠΕΣΤ plays an essential role in advocating for the sector’s interests and advancing Greece’s position as a world-class destination for nautical tourism.

The leadership of ΕΠΕΣΤ anticipates that Lemos’s strong commercial and institutional experience will contribute positively to ongoing efforts to support members, influence policy, and promote the sustainable expansion of Greek yachting.

This appointment underscores the dynamic interplay between industry excellence and institutional leadership within one of Greece’s most significant maritime organizations.
